As a counselor I find many of our struggles (anxiety, depression, relationship issues…) to be rooted in unconscious behavior patterns. Patterns that once severed us well, but have since become a dam. Blocking us from what we desire, nor allowing us to embrace pleasant moments. These patterns often suppress challenging emotions. Leaving us feeling exhausted, as we carry their weight.  Thus we cannot be the creative beings we are. I can help you identify these patterns, process the emotions, and develop an authentic way of relating to the ups and downs of life. So that you can write your own story, rather than reading the one that was given to you.

My Approach

In my therapy practice, I employ a diverse range of modalities to offer a comprehensive and tailored approach to mental and emotional well-being. While these tools are helpful to illuminate your experience, the foundation of our work will be built on a collaborative relationship. From this relationship two key elements emerge, trust and vulnerability. These elements are paramount in the process of self discovery and healing. From here we will be able to use these tools to explore, challenge, and shift your present experience.

  • Past Reality Integration

Past Reality Integration (PRI) explores how early traumatic and/or challenging experiences shape individuals' beliefs about themselves and the world, aiming to reframe these perceptions for emotional healing. It offer’s the opportunity to release repressed emotion and write your story.

  • Mindfulness

Mindfulness involves cultivating present-moment awareness without judgment. Rooted in ancient contemplative practices, mindfulness encourages individuals to observe their thoughts and feelings with acceptance, promoting emotional regulation and increased self-awareness.

  • Somatic Psychology

Somatic psychology focuses on the mind-body connection, recognizing the integral role of the body in mental health. It explores how physical sensations, movements, and experiences contribute to emotional well-being, encouraging individuals to connect with their bodily sensations to gain insights into their psychological states.

  • Gestalt

Gestalt therapy emphasizes the present moment and personal responsibility. Through techniques like role-playing and empty-chair exercises, Gestalt therapy encourages individuals to explore and integrate fragmented aspects of themselves. Ultimately aiming for a more authentic and complete sense of self.

Each of these modalities work with and build upon each other. Mindfulness supports you in gaining greater present moment awareness of your struggles. PRI acts as a guide to help illuminate unconscious behavior patterns. Somatic psychology offers an experience where you can heal the root cause of these patterns. Gestalt provides an opportunity to write your own story. This process is not linear. Just like the stream, there will be bends, eddies, and falls. Yet all of them work together to get you to where you want to be.
